How the course works
Sign in with the email used at checkout and open My Courses. Work through five teaching chapters and two assignments in each module, then study the separate worked solutions. These are self-paced written courses with in-platform lesson access and assignment submission. Grading and certificate eligibility require instructor review; no turnaround time is promised. Video lessons, live coaching, software subscriptions and done-for-you services are not included.
Why you need this
Finding a funding source is only part of financing a new business. You also need to know how much cash is required, when expenses occur, what evidence supports the request and whether the business can handle the obligations that follow. Borrowing a convenient amount without those checks can leave you with equipment and a repayment schedule but too little operating cash.
This course guides you through a uses-of-funds schedule, cash forecast, downside test, business narrative and organized document-room index. You compare self-funding, lender loans, SBA intermediary microloans, grants and equity pathways, then practice evaluating fees, guarantees, collateral and reporting terms with clearly labeled fictional examples. The worked solutions show the calculations and the information that must still be verified.
You finish with a ninety-day funding-readiness portfolio and better questions for actual providers. The material focuses on U.S. small-business funding and uses official SBA and SEC resources for verification. It is educational preparation, not a funding service, professional financial advice or a promise of approval.
